EPA is the abbreviation of High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter.



1) The HEPA filter consists of a stack of continuous, pre-folded, sub-glass fiber membranes that form a wavy gasket for placement and support of the filter boundary.


2) HEPA is an internationally recognized and best high-efficiency filter material. Originally used in nuclear energy research and protection, HEPA is now widely used in places requiring high cleanliness such as precision laboratories, pharmaceutical production, atomic research and surgery.



3) HEPA is made up of very fine organic fibers. It has strong ability to capture particles, has small pore size, large adsorption capacity, high purification efficiency, and water absorption. The particle purification rate for 0.3 micron is 99.97%. That is to say, only 3 of every 10,000 particles can penetrate the HEPA filter membrane. Therefore, its effect of filtering particles is very obvious! If it is used to filter cigarettes, the effect of filtration can be almost 100%, because the size of the particles in the cigarette is between 0.5 and 2 microns, and the membrane cannot pass through the HEPA filter.

3) HEPA由非常細小的有機纖維交織而成,對微粒的捕捉能力較強,孔徑微小,吸附容量大,淨化效率高,並具備吸水性,針對0.3微米的粒子淨化率為99.97%。也就是說:每10000個粒子中,只能有3個粒子能夠穿透HEPA過濾膜。因此,它的過濾顆粒物的效果是非常明顯的!如果用它過濾香煙,那麼過濾的效果幾乎可以達到100%,因為香煙中的顆粒物大小介於0.5—2微米之間,無法通過HEPA過濾膜。
